In loving memory of John W. Farina, cherished friend and supporter of CBN-DC

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of John W. Farina on November 2, 2022. John, a financial advisor at Morgan Stanley Wealth Management, was one of the founding sponsors and board members of CBN-DC back in 2013. He will always be remembered for his generosity, big heart and engaging personality. Our gatherings will certainly be less exuberant without him.

We will cherish our memories of John and hold him close in our hearts.

Networking and Wine Tasting Reception

With autumn upon us, it is the perfect time for an evening networking reception featuring a wine tasting at the award-winning restaurant, Ristorante I Ricchi. Christianne Ricchi, our gracious host and celebrated chef owner of the restaurant, will be on hand to give us the scoop on the lovely Italian wines we will be tasting.

Gala Postponed

After careful consultation and deliberation, we have made the difficult decision to postpone our 8th Annual Gala to the spring of 2022. The “Omicron” variant has been designated a “variant of concern,” or “VOC,” by the World Health Organization and the health and safety of our guests and honorees helped us arrive at this decision.

March 2020 Breakfast Meeting is CANCELLED

Globally, the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic has caused illness and death. As the number of cases in the D.C. area continues to rise, Mayor Muriel Bowser has declared both a state of emergency and a public health emergency in the District.

Due to these recent events and out of an abundance of caution, we have made the decision to cancel our March breakfast meeting. The health and safety of our members are paramount.

We are monitoring the situation closely and are keeping all those affected by this virus in prayer. We pray most especially for those who have died. We will be back in touch when it is safe to reschedule the meeting.
